After trying a few different phone mounts, I ended up keeping this one. It’s the first mount I’ve found that checks all the boxes for my Tesla Model Y.
I mounted it on the corner of the screen so I can easily switch between horizontal and vertical orientation without blocking my Tesla display. The charging works well, the magnet is strong, and the adjustable angle makes it easy to position exactly where I want it.
One thing to note: when I first installed it, I left the mount fully assembled and tried sticking it directly onto the back of the screen. It kept falling off, and I initially thought the Georgia heat was causing the problem. However, after taking the mount apart and attaching only the adhesive base first, then letting it sit for a few hours before reassembling everything, it stayed firmly in place.
I’ve been through some very hot Georgia days since then, and the adhesive has held up without any issues.
If you’re having trouble with the mount staying attached, I highly recommend installing the adhesive base separately first. Once I did that, the mount worked exactly as intended. Overall, this is the best Tesla phone mount I’ve tried so far.
